When should you test your water?

  • If you know what you want to test for, simply choose the tests or kit options on the form and fill out the shipping/pick up information.
  • If you are unsure, the WDNR recommends you test your private well water at least once a year for coliform bacteria contamination and any time you notice a change in how the water looks, tastes or smells. If you are unsure after reviewing the test options below review the “What’s Wrong With My Water” link below that diagnoses issues with water and recommends tests. If you have any questions about any of the water test kits or well water testing, please call our experienced staff to discuss.

What do I do when I receive my kit?

When you receive your kit it will contain labeled sample bottles, sampling instructions and a Sample Receipt Form. Please complete the paperwork, review the instructions, follow the sampling instructions and ship the kit back to our Neenah lab with payment. Credit Card Payment can also be taken by phone.
